Volunteering
Together, we labor to meet the needs of our parish community. Through these efforts, we glorify God and strengthen the community we have formed in His name. We accomplish this by volunteering in various ministries and assisting in a variety of ways around the parish to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for our visitors.
To join our volunteer roster, text “GOTJESUS” TO 84576. In your cell phone text messaging app, type GOTJESUS as the message and send it to the number 84576. You will receive a text with a link. Click on the link and register for Flocknote. Then you can select which groups you would like to join, including the Volunteer Team. Then keep your eye out for texts and emails about volunteer opportunities. Thank you for your willingness to serve!
Our Diocese provides a Protecting God’s Children training and mandatory LiveScan Fingerprint background checks for all staff and volunteers in order to keep our ministerial environment safe and effective. The process for this can be found at https://safe.dosafl.com/virtus-pgc-training-overview/. If you have not yet done the Protecting God’s Children Training and the Fingerprint scan/background check, you will follow the “instructions for new users”. If you have already done the PGC training but need to do a new fingerprint background check (every 5 years), you will follow the “returning user instructions”. Also, starting in July of 2022, a 35-minute online training is required every five years on the date of the fingerprint clearance renewal. Click below for more information.
